Ricky Kenig Residence Brooklyn Slade Architecture 2. The Kenig Residence stands for Ricky Kenig’s residence, the same Ricky from Ricky’s NYC stores....
The house was organized floor by floor. The basement is a classic den-type room with pool table and couches, the ground floor is intended as a loft-like living room and
kitchen faucets with floating exterior wood deck above the fine gardening. The second floor is the girl’s territory with their total bedroom, kid-lounge and premier baths. The third floor is the bachelor retreat with total bedroom, premier baths and home equity rates office.
The house was built in 1899 and the current renovation took 18 months and $1,3 million. The home decorator the minimalist house was not uneasy: Mr. Kenig’s impressive collection of sneakers occupies an entire wall at the top floor. In the living room there’s a home decorator on one of the walls with 96 copper skulls (actually molds for mannequin heads. Along the stairs, for the ground floor and the girls floor, the blackened metal is covered with magnets holding family photographs. Thousands of them. That is what makes this house so special and unique. And warm!
