81 Avenue Victor Hugo by Conran

For their first joint-venture project outside of the UK, Conran & Partners and City Loft Developments are transforming 81 Avenue Victor Hugo, a 19th century palace townhouse, into 40 contemporary residences in the heart of Paris. Located in the 16th arrondissement, 81 Avenue Victor Hugo is a Haussmann era building that was once home decorator to the Romanian Princess Bassaraba de Brancoran.

Making use of their vast experience in restoration and renovation of historic buildings, Conran & Partners have produced a sensitive scheme, which carefully balances the existing historic architecture with contemporary design. Many of the original features in the building will be kept, including the magnificent spiral stairwell, as well as several original fixtures and fittings.

Each of the 40 apartments, ranging in size from studio to 6-bedroom, will benefit from a Conran-designed interior, including a fully fitted, bespoke Conran kitchen. The apartments surround an internal courtyard and all benefit from high ceilings, filling each room with light and space.

81 Avenue Victor Hugo is a stone’s throw from many Parisian landmarks, including the Arc de Triomphe and the Avenue Champs Elysees, with top floor apartments enjoying romantic views to the Eiffel Tower.

The luxurious design of the interiors reflects the 5-star service to which the residents will become accustomed, with services including a 24-hour concierge, valet parking, security and a la carte housekeeping services (cleaning and ironing) as well as use of the on-site gym.
